L'auteur le date de 1879. La seule différence, ami visiteur, est qu'il s'agit d'un tirage réalisé la semaine dernière au départ du négatif original (en fait, une plaque de verre), effectivement daté de 1879, conservé par un historien amoureux du site et ô combien connaisseur de son histoire et même de sa petite histoire. Pour mémoire, cet ouvrage a été édité en 1913. Il se fait que ce négatif (dans ce cas, une pellicule argentique) est précisément daté de 1873 et la photo a été prise par un certain Berger, sans doute l'imprimeur père de René Berger, le photographe bien connu de Braine-l'Alleud à la fin du siècle.
