| + | 1974 (11 novembre) : sa Grâce, le duc de Wellington, s'est rendu à la ferme historique d'Hougoumont où périrent 6000 combattants, le 18 juin 1815. Le duc y planta 6 châtaigniers et alla se recueillir devant la stèle de granit élevée à la mémoire des soldats français morts à Hougoumont et y déposa une couronne. | ||
